MSI 27-inch 1440p gaming monitor
VIEW DEAL
PC gaming feels like it’s getting more and more expensive every week, but thankfully, monitors aren’t going up in price all that much. In fact there are even a few deals to be found. Take this MSI monitor, for example: It offers a 27-inch, 1440p resolution, 144Hz for a little extra speed. And at Amazon it’s only $139.99 right now, a $40 saving.
The MSI Pro MP273Q E14 doesn’t quite have a catchy name — all monitor names are terrible — but it’s packing in a lot of value. Not only is the 27-inch LCD panel operating at 2560×1440 resolution, which is the “sweet spot” for current PC gaming, its 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time means that it can pull its weight in competitive online games, too. It’s compatible with Adaptive Sync, for when you want to turn on all the visual bells and whistles.
And best of all, it’s using an IPS panel, not VA. That means color accuracy, so it’s ready to go for video or photo editing. With both HDMI and DisplayPort connections, this also makes for a great multi-monitor upgrade, though it doesn’t have any USB extras. The screen also comes with a VESA mount, which you should use to add a monitor arm, and a set of embedded speakers, which you should ignore. Please. Please don’t use the built-in speakers.
Amazon isn’t saying how long this deal will last. If it’s not what you’re looking for, then check out PCWorld’s roundup of the best monitors.
