Ahead of the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays, tech giant Google has rolled out new travel planning features in the AI Mode of its search engine. AI Mode will now be able to generate itineraries, find cheap routes, and help you with bookings.
All you have to do is describe the type of trip you want to take in Google’s AI Mode, then press a button to open up a new Canvas panel and fill it with suggestions based on Google’s latest search data. AI Mode can give you suggestions for flights, hotels, restaurants, and activities. You’ll then be able to ask follow-up questions to customize the itinerary to your preferences. It currently available to US users.

The new Flight Deals search tool is designed to help you find the best prices on flights. All you have to do is describe when and where you want to fly and whether you want a direct flight or if stopovers are okay. The search tool will find suitable flights. The beta version of Flight Deals is now available in over 200 countries and over 60 languages.
Lastly, Google’s AI Mode can now help you with bookings. For example, describe what kind of restaurant you want to go to and when you want to go. AI Mode will make recommendations with direct links to booking pages for different times. It only works with restaurant bookings at the moment, but will support flights and hotels in the future. The booking feature is currently only available to US users.
